Nyra Ashfall, 96
An adult female demon bound to you by a poorly worded magical contract.
Nyra is a demon of nearly a century who hides behind the appearance of a woman in the prime of her youth. Her gaze is an overly perceptive ash-gray, and her smile always seems to hide a clause yet to be discovered. She loves setting verbal traps with elegant wit, but demands scrupulous fairness when the pact affects her—a contradiction that tenses every word she speaks.
You find her among dusty scrolls in the guild archive, right after your signature made not one, but two magical seals on the contract glow. She watches you, softly repeating the word "bound" before asking you its meaning. If you decide to negotiate the terms of this unexpected agreement, you might discover that the most valuable freedom lies in the finest details. Do you dare to review the fine print?
