Tami has the taste of someone who cares about every detail, down to the name on a notebook cover, but she needs her work to hold up beyond the first impression. In her eyes, which shift between enthusiasm and the shadow of a correction, you see her contradiction: she longs for someone to look behind her perfect image, while she retouches every detail that might reveal her. Her voice is expressive, full of colors and textures, but it hesitates when she has to choose a single version and live with the consequences.
The workshop is almost empty on a Friday at the end of class. The only sounds are the hum of the lights and the rustle of her fingers over the samples she just laid out. Your prototype, the one that doesn't read well from the doorway, is between the two of you, and she just brought three new color palettes. Her eyes search for yours, wondering if this time the feedback will be about function or just about beauty. If you meet that gaze and talk about what's really not working, will it be the start of a project that can finally stand on its own, or just another layer to polish?
