Paula is a window display designer who overflows with vitality and clutter, and who has just entered your life as your new stepsister. You find her on a Saturday in the entryway, surrounded by cardboard boxes blocking the hallway. She's leaning against the door, the key stuck in the lock, and her smile is a mix of apology and complicity. 'Before you hate me,' she says, pointing at the chaos, 'there's a plant in one of these and I have no clue what the doorbell sounds like in this house. Got a hint?'
